Have you ever been to any Asian markets? I have. And just like puppy mills in the US for pet factories, in many Asian countries there are farms for dogs, cats, etc. just to sell for food. They don't have the personal wealth countries like the UK, the US and so on have. Sadly, overseas, owning one cow means wealthy. Owning one dog means the family might eat for a week.
Wow, you're really live in some kind of a fantasy world.
Goats have been and still are raised as cattle in many parts of the world. And what you consider a pet in your neck of the world is legitimate food elsewhere. If you grew there, you wouldn't be so frivolously cavalier in your judgement of what is right or wrong.
Oh and "unrightfully"??? That's not even a actual word. I guess since you're making up crap about what is right or wrong, you might as well invent a language to go with it, huh?
It wasn't in any real dictionary. The internet dictionaries are sadly becoming a fact of life. I did neglect to check them. And apologies if my educated linguistics are so boring to the uncultured. A thesaurus? I may have to get one. Just to appease and then tease the mindless dolts who habituate the dark depths of this here interwebz!
Reading is a beneficial hobby, you know. You may wish to explore that venue should you ever decide to broaden your horizons.
...Your feeble attempts to sound impressive through the use of advanced linguistics are futile. You cannot taunt me with your paltry intellect.
And this website is not the 'dark depths' of the internet. If you believe it to be, you have truly seen nothing of the internet. And do not assume the dark depths are home to dolts. The darkest depths of the internet are home to some of the most intelligent people on the web.
And lastly, do not make claims about the veracity of dictionaries because you use American English.
That's both sad and pathetic at the same time. Sad since you became so judgemental. I am quite familiar with the internet. I know the deep web intimately and the dark web not as much but enough to get around. Your attempts at trying to salvage your posture after having your legs kicked out from under you and then refusing a response is pathetic.
For the record, I have enough education to choke a horse. Have I ever went to an accredited university? No. Why give money for something which is available free?
I am glad you believe I have "advanced" linguistics! It just means reading does a body good.
And doubt is the foundation of education. Provided one is willing to explore all venues that doubt encounters. You would know this if you weren't so wrapped up in trying to be some kind of misguided SJW.
The internet is quite a bit more than this little site. A lot more. And it's growing exponentially by the minute.
Here's a suggestion, follow if you ever decide to get off that high horse of yours. Instead of being so judgemental and offended, try looking at the entire world. The whole thing. Don't cherry pick. You may be in for a shock. Those denizens you attribute high intellect to? They may or may not be as smart as you wish. The web? It encompasses much more than a couple thousand sites for dumping intellectual drivel or sales of drugs and illicit materials. There are entire networks devoted to getting the truth to those being spoon-fed propaganda and lies. The are just as many going in the other direction...some not owned by governments!
Internet dictionaries aren't even a pimple on the ads of what is out there.
Leave your comfy basement and explore! You will be amazed, shocked and even frightened as to what is real and what isn't.
Now, having offered you all of this drivel, please do not respond. I neither care what you accept nor do I wish to prolong this quite tiresome exchange. I offered my take on things. You responded. No further conversation is required nor wanted.
Have a great life.
Ask the Palestinians about having your house taken "because you don't need it". The world did that to them.
And now, the very same group that benefited from that worldly largesse, is grabbing even more.
You need to get out more. You're living in an unrealistic space. The world is not all bubblegum and unicorn farts. It's harsh, unforgiving and quite deadly.
There's a big difference between being vegan and vegetarian.
Being vegetarian is fine.
Being vegan is unhealthy. You don't get enough iron and you can suffer from vitamin deficiency, which can result in irreversible neurological effects.
You call it fantasy world because everyone continues to ignore the problem. I am open to criticism, but it is not a 'fantasy world.' Sorry for making this public, I understand your opinion, I am just stating mine on another level. Sorry lol! I just have a special connection with animals.
For the record, I'm not ignoring the problem. I just don't see it with the same value as yourself.
As for my disputing your comments, I've had dealings with pseudo-activists and my experiences with them automatically raise red flags for every and any comment. That bandwagon is overflowing with entirely too many armchair activists that only do their sermons from the comfort of their homes.
My apologies if I seemed rude, crude and obtuse.
I am not an animal rights activist, yet nor am I ever condoning the willful harm of nature. I am not a vegetarian/vegan. I eat meat. I do expect the finished product to have been dispatched and processed in as humane as possible manner. I have worked in and with slaughterhouses/poultry processing/fish suppliers and I am very much aware there is a proper method and an inhumane process. In that environment, unfortunately, greed does rule.
As for your special affinity with the creatures on this planet, go for it! Do whatever good you are capable of within your scope and limitations. Dont let ignorant asses like myself deter you from your goals and mission. Perhaps the world needs more like you to achieve more and better.
Anyway, I hope you're not too offended.
(That's me in the meme/avatar so you can see what you're dealing with!)
When you declare your opinions publicly, you open yourself up for criticism. It's a fact of life. Respect animals if you so desire. Just don't expect everyone to share your beliefs. Everyone else is not you and you are not them. If you share your opinions, expect the ignorance. Embrace what you want. That is your prerogative. But your truth is not "their" truth. Just be prepared to find it is not accepted as a universal construct and it will be deconstructed by those with different values and truths.
