I am a republican and everything but this is wrong. There are simply more democrats period. So the final legal vote will have Biden on top. Calling is fraudulent anyway is just a way to justify Trump’s re-election.

While the chances are slim that Trump still could reelected, as long as the possibility exists we should go through the motions and check all the boxes to make sure all is done right.

After all, already once this very election we had someone concede that was later found to have one because a voting machine screwed up. And of course a second screw up by the same machines has been confirmed as well.

Basically, the news networks were all over the map that night, and made several calls before retracting them all.

Gore actually conceded to Bush after the first call but then retracted his concession when the networks retracted the call.

Some points of distinction can be drawn:

—What we DIDN’T see Gore do was try to spin a completely opposite narrative to that of the media. He insisted on a FAIR AND ACCURATE final count but did not make wide-ranging claims of voter fraud without evidence.

—ALSO TAKE NOTE that the margin in Florida in 2000 was way, way, way closer even than the closest state in 2020, which is Georgia.

—ALSO TAKE NOTE that the outcome in FL was the sole state that would have decided the election in 2000. Whereas Biden in 2020 won the Electoral College by several states.

—Finally: Trump still hasn’t conceded. What I expect we may never see is a concession from Trump; luckily, it’s not constitutionally necessary for him to do so, but it is yet another norm of democracy that he’s breaking. And he’s encouraging his diehard fans to not accept reality.

It will play out in the Courts. Gore fought it for 37 days. It’s the process it is playing out. Whine if you want it’s a free country. For now.

It will get swatted down in the courts.

Gore did not try to spin an entire narrative of election fraud out of whole cloth. He obviously trusted the recount process, and he didn’t spend months leading up to the election casting doubt on absentee ballots or any other aspect of our democracy.

Gore fought a legal battle in one state — Florida — that held the key to the entire election and was ridiculously close to the tune of less than 1000 votes — far closer even than Georgia, the closest state this time, where the 2020 candidates are now separated by a margin of over 10,000 votes. (And even winning Georgia wouldn’t tip the election in favor of Trump)

The 2020 EC results are as decisive in Biden’s favor as the 2016 EC results were in Trump’s favor. Trump should have conceded days ago just as HRC did.

Tl;dr Trump is throwing a hissy fit that is doing lasting and irreparable damage to faith in democracy in our country.

The difference in HRC’s case is The Republicans didn’t make changes without preparation to voting protocall a few months before the election thus creating the conditions for questioning the veracity of the count. The courts will decide. If you are so sure, no worries. Many Americans aren’t so sure and their suspicions are valid and created by the mail in ballot additions to the voting process.that’s the difference.
