yeh, you see it on the news all the time, hypocritical parents blaming a game company for making violent games when they are the one that bought it for their child in the first place!

The only valid criticism they should be having should be the micro/macrotransations. But yes, they need to stop buying violent games for the kids if it's such a problem.

Really, if you don’t want your child to go near violent games, then make them play the switch, it’s that easy, because Nintendo makes all these strategy platforms and things that go with reality, it would be better for you to just get them the switch if you hate violent games so much

or, just be a rational person and except not every piece or media is going to be child friendly, and don't blame the media company because you were not responsible enough to make sure if something your child wants is ok with you.

Cars cause drunk driving is a more valid statement. Atleast the car is involved.

If the FBI can convince a mentally unstable person to try and kidnap a governor just so the Democrats could use the story to smear Trump, then couldn’t the FBI convince a mentally unstable person to go on a shooting rampage just so the Democrats could push gun control?

“Red” convinced them to buy explosives from him. “The driver” drove the leader out to meet Red.

Those are just the details that have been released to the public. The feds were screwing with these people for months. There’s a lot of coercion that would have occurred during that time.

My opinion is that while playing a first person shooter for 8 hours a day might have a small effect on kids aggression, come on. The real factor into kids aggression is what is happening to them in real life. If they recently broke up or are always getting bullied that would make them much more prone to aggression towards the fellow man. I have played bfv since it came out and I still would never go anywhere near a firearm in real life. I think that social media and real life event have more of an influence on it.

Agreed, a lot of people say immediately that video games cause violence but they have to look at the maturity someone has and the addiction they have to the game, for example a 9 year old fortnite player, they are toxic and they rage quit all the time, they even go on a killing spree if they get no fortnite, that is because they are young and are addicted to an aggressive game. But on the other hand, a 20 year old playing stardew valley is not gonna rage quit, because it is a calm game and it is a 20 year old who is very mature

Books have been attributed to violence. You’re going to tell me you have no aggression contributed from stuff like that when you’re saying that? Love thy neighbor.

Nothing really “causes” anything when there’s human choice involved. But a mass number of things creates conditions for someone to be more susceptible to violence.

The “video games are spotless” crowd on the internet certainly fuels my aggression.
