I remember watching a tv program with the real one, Sesto elemento meaning fifth element in Italian & the fifth element being carbon they built 90+% of the car form carbon fibre making it extremely light but strong too.

My 4 kids love torturing me with that noise. One time I had it and took them all off. A couple days later my husband, unbeknownst to me, bought a whole new set and replaced them all. 🤦‍♀️

Ah the classic. They've been replacing the fencing in our neighborhood and my kids have been collecting the mill ends that are left to build things. Who needs toys?

Exactly! Sticks can be turned into any number of things! Swords, hockey sticks, guns, play forts, magic wands...kids these days have no imagination...heck I even remember collecting shards of broken glass and calling them "crystals". Never got injured, too badly anyway. Lol.

In retrospect, a lot of the toys I had as a kid wouldn't even be allowed these days because they were "dangerous". I even had a toy forge that would melt lead and make little figurines and cars and stuff. Chemistry sets including bunson burners, cap guns that didn't have the orange tips on them, lawn darts, micro machines were awesome but were banned due to choking hazards...makes me sick.

Oh my gosh those sound like so much fun. Yea toys today are so lame due to regulations. They've regulated the fun and imagination out of everything for safety sake.

I loved these things and think they should make a comeback!

When I was little, my friend would give me all of hers. I dont know why... I still have tons. Was gonna wear them this year but then corona hit. And I forgot them.

One of these & several others of the same variety Where my childhood favourites.
I still have mine, one of the same shown in the picture ( but in worse condition ) in my loft.
They had their own unique way of ‘working’ not seen in toys beforehand.

Definitely go for your gun license/permit, where I live getting a FAC (firearms certification) is quite hard although not impossible.
You have a great tradition of firearms ownership in the U.S it just needs more level headed people like yourself to take it up and educate the naysayers.

Although I did ‘play’ with guns as I was a army cadet from age 11, & we learned to strip/assemble, patrol tactically, and also fire automatic weapons.
