Exactly! Sticks can be turned into any number of things! Swords, hockey sticks, guns, play forts, magic wands...kids these days have no imagination...heck I even remember collecting shards of broken glass and calling them "crystals". Never got injured, too badly anyway. Lol.
In retrospect, a lot of the toys I had as a kid wouldn't even be allowed these days because they were "dangerous". I even had a toy forge that would melt lead and make little figurines and cars and stuff. Chemistry sets including bunson burners, cap guns that didn't have the orange tips on them, lawn darts, micro machines were awesome but were banned due to choking hazards...makes me sick.
