Ok, let's try to not use leftist tactics like showing quotes out of context here. He was calling Trump "Abraham Lincoln here" in a denigrating manner, and doing exactly the same thing, taking Trump's own words out of context, twisting them around and spinning a new narrative.

And if what I've read is true, Lincoln WAS a racist, but not a "horrible" one, despite what another commenter said. (Which has no value anyways, since to idiots like them, just doing something like drinking milk makes you a horrible racist).

From what I've read, Lincoln believed black people were inferior, but he didn't believe Americans, or anyone, had the right to enslave them. He believed they had the right to be free, but kept separate from whites, or sent back home to Africa, where they'd be happiest.

What I gather, based off Chernow's "Grant' (which is an excellent read), Lincoln valued the Union above all else, but when it was clear the South was on the warpath then he took advantage of it to free the slaves. He was firmly committed to their equal rights and would have accomplished much had he not been assassinated. The talk about sending blacks out of the country was floated when it was clear that organizations like the KKK and then Democrat mafiosos were going to make their lives hell even after the Civil Rights Act was passed in 1871. It fell through, and we were tragically left fighting for their rights until the passage of the Second Civil Rights Act in the 60's.

The real question is, did he think they were inferior because of their genetic race or because they were uneducated?
