If they do shoot you a website, it's usually extreme-right bias, and mixed factual reporting. They don't know how to find a centrist publisher with high factual reproting.

A factual search shows the New York Times has made false claims in reporting, but always makes corrections to those stories as soon as new information is available. Further, failed fact checks occurred on Op-Ed pages and not straight news reporting. Be that as it may, it is highly factual and considered one of the most reliable sources for news information due to proper sourcing and well-respected journalists/editors.

Any well-informed person would heed the wise immortal words of Ronald Reagan regarding the News. "Trust, but verify." So, while you are holding the entirety of the NYT responsible for the actions of a guy who's been dead for over 70 years... I mean, that line of thinking speaks for itself. Going further, the NYT has been publicly acknowledging Duranty's failures since the 1980s. Additionally, in November 2003, the Pulitzer board found no clear and convincing evidence of deliberate deception in the 1931 reporting that won him a Pulitzer Prize.

So, to me, this just seems like a smear campaign designed to discredit the New York Times because of a guy who stopped working there in the early 1940s, making this an 80 year old issue. Good grief man.
