Because they are given the info and what they do with it, is up to them.

What the media is doing now is force feeding conclusions: "The laptop is fake. Its another Russian conspiracy theory. The Russians sent the emails.".

That’s a really good idea actually, all media both right and left should definitely follow rules like that, or at least acknowledge when they are coming up with their own conclusions.
