Just adding another poisoning conspiracy to the mix. I've been poisoned by mushrooms before...well, the mushrooms didn't actually poison me, I poisoned myself with the mushrooms. I am an avid forager and know my mushrooms. However, I did not yet realize that I had developed a sensitivity to chicken of the woods. It never bother me prior to this poisoning, but the combination of alcohol and this genus of mushrooms now leaves me incredibly sick the day after. Like, to the point where I'm moaning and groaning about the pain/sickness, for like 12 hours straight...and then I slowly recover over the next 12 hours. Anyhow, being poisoned like that is by far the worst feeling I've ever experienced. Be careful with wild mushrooms, even when you know what you are eating!
PS - never eat any ink cap mushrooms w/ alcohol...in fact, don't even eat them if you've had any alcohol in the 24 hours leading up to the time of consumption.
