I'm a Taxifornian, too! And I couldn't agree with you more! I don't live in SF, but I'm in the Bay Area, and I can see what a shithole it's become up there. I avoid it like the plague now, but I used to go there quite frequently. It *used* to be a beautiful city.
A stat I always like to throw in the faces of those whining snowflakes who complain about the popular vote total and wanting to do away with the EC is that if just the difference between Trump and HRC's vote total in California were removed from the national popular vote total, Trump would have won the popular vote. Not all of HRC's votes, but just the difference between her and Trump's total in Taxifornia.
And that is exactly why we need the EC. The founders knew that having one or two large states dominate by way of popular vote would be very, very bad for our union. We had small and large states back then, too. And they were pretty darn smart.
