We had this issue in England where just about anyone who ever had similar symptoms and died (flu, pneumonia, hypothermia, undertermined..) were all classed as corona virus causes
Also anyone who ever had said virus and then recovered and later died of unrelated circumstances ALSO were classed as a corona fatality.
Then you have the inaccuracy of the tests where 20% positive and 20% negative are possible false readings..

The actual number could justifiably be 1/4 of that but we'll never know at this point..

Your point is valid. The false positive numbers are at least 20% here in the US. Also, while anecdotal, I've heard dozens of stories of people who were scheduled to take the test, but cancelled, and then received a notification that they ahd tested possitive.

Imagine if a public opinion poll were taken here in the US, and the question was, "Should we shut down our economy for a virus that has a 99.9999375% survival rate?"

Ummmm, sorry, but according to ol' Sundowner Joe, that's 200 MILLION deaths.

A quick re-do of the math along with a quick Googling of the current US population (they show it at 328.2 million, for whatever that's worth) shows a death rate of nearly 61%, and ALL of it is Trump's fault!
