Your point is valid. The false positive numbers are at least 20% here in the US. Also, while anecdotal, I've heard dozens of stories of people who were scheduled to take the test, but cancelled, and then received a notification that they ahd tested possitive.
Imagine if a public opinion poll were taken here in the US, and the question was, "Should we shut down our economy for a virus that has a 99.9999375% survival rate?"
