If one scientist says something then it is gospel? No! And Trump has agreed with some scientists that have conflicting views from other scientists!

If a lot of scientist state something based on false facts, or assumptions, then we have to accept it? No! Through history we’ve seen ‘science’ state one thing, often for centuries and then later state something in complete disagreement with that – as we learn more our hypothesis change, and sometimes it appears that when we’ve gathered enough facts we can fairly decisively declare a hypothesis/belief now a fact.

In the 1990s CDC Director Robert Redfield endorsed an unproven HIV vaccine as a huge breakthrough. It wasn’t, and Redfield was investigated for scientific misconduct for his role in continuing to push the vaccine.

In fact, during a February hearing, Redfield went so far as to encourage people not to buy medical-grade masks, saying there's "no role for these masks in the community."
