You speak of sacrifice like you know what it means. You kiss the feet of a slug who avoided military service and calls everyone in that collage a sucker and a loser.

Biden had a 1-Y deferment and still could’ve been drafted in a national emergency. Bernie was too old to be drafted. So, wrong again.

And if you’ve “sacrificed” all those hours, you’d know what a 1-Y is, and it ain’t bone spurs.

So I suppose Obama’s 15,000 dead from H1N1 was a success? Or do we just not talk about that?

Where are the goal posts really?

1. Obama is no longer President.

2. 200,000 > 15,000

3. 200,000 is the current count, not the final count. More will die. 15,000 is the final count.

4. This number could’ve been smaller if Trump actually took this seriously beyond a travel ban and putting scientists on TV to explain things too complicated for him to explain. Then turn around and misinterpret what they said.

5. The fatality rate for H1N1 was equal to the fatality rate of Covid. So, it is fair to compare the two. And again, notice the lower death count in the tens of thousands as opposed to a couple hundred thousand which, again, 200,000 is the higher number.

Those are where the goal posts lie. Any more questions?

Lots, but we don’t really know the velocity of the virus, pandemic, and related deaths until we understand China’s real numbers, you know, where it started. If you believe 5k deaths reported in China is real, then we can just stop right here — China is the benchmark.

We may never know the numbers from China. But we do have numbers here, in the United States. Enough to assess and debate whether or not government interference has been effective or productive.

So if we find out 20m died in China, 200k would be considered a failure?

135,000 deaths in Brazil
84,000 deaths in India
72,000 deaths in Mexico
42,000 deaths in the UK
46,000 deaths in Italy
31,000 deaths in Peru

If you were to combine the five most populated countries in Western Europe. Germany, The United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Spain; who combined have roughly the total population of...324 million people. In comparison to the US with 331 million people... Heck, I'll throw in Poland and give the US the advantage with Europe now at 361 million to the US's 331 million and compared number of cases and deaths... it would still be less. Which, by the way, they had 1,927,397 cases and 151,022 deaths, and some of these countries had it first... while the US has had 6,875,920 cases and 202,230 deaths.

No matter what China's failure or cover up, it doesn't erase 202,000 deaths.

So, yes. I consider 202,230 deaths a complete and utter failure.

The countries you listed — you feel their testing, reporting, and data management procedures, processes, and protocols have the same integrity as the US? You would put their disease control agencies on par with the CDC?

Seriously, how is this even up for debate? He claims we’re not talking about the 15,000 (and it’s not 15, it’s not like 13) deaths from H1N1 under Obama....TEN YEARS AGO. We don’t need to talk about it because they developed a pandemic playbook on how to deal with future outbreaks.

Donald Trump threw that playbook out. Why are we not talking more about that? If we can’t forget what happened ten years ago, we should’ve forget what happened one year ago.

We’ve been asked to wear masks, socially distance, and wash your hands. Is that really a huge ask? They’re not asking for blood sacrifices of your firstborn. They’re not asking for large cash donations. They’re not asking for anything other than to give a shit about the person next to you.

One could almost say it’s love thy neighbor as you would love yourself. It’s almost a Christian notion...

Well, they are asking for blood and donations but I know what you mean.

- number of people in prison
- death row
- war crimes
- disaster deaths
- species gone extinct
- murdered police
- military dead
- preventable public health deaths
- disappeared people
