Presidential Oath of Office: I do solemly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Does not specifically talk about sharing information or how to lead a situation.

Conclusion: One is legally obligated to tell you - the other has no rules of conduct on the subject. False comparison.
