[image deleted]So I made this meme about all the times that Kayleigh McEnany has taken on the misfits in the White House press corpse…from the comments I don’t see anyone disagreeing that she has done this often and very well!
But of course this has to be negated and the ‘conversation’ changed to the excerpts from the Woodward book …
Ok, so let’s look at that:
• According to what I found Woodward claims (from the February 7th phone call) that on January 28th Trump was briefed about the corona virus severity
• The first report of a corona virus case in the USA is January 21 (CDC Seattle)
• Trevor Bedford (May 2020 article) states by end of January the USA ‘probably’ had 10-100 cases
• In January the who, cdc and fauci all said there was nothing to worry about
Then on January 31 Trump puts in travel ban…so 3 days after the January 28th brief, with no corona virus deaths in the USA, and only a handful of cases reported, he shuts down travel with China….so it appears that Trump took very quick action on that intelligence. Is banning travel with china minimizing and down playing the severity of the corona virus? Of course not, it was a drastic measure that hadn’t ever been done before…
So the press, and officials all over the USA, must have said if Trump is doing a travel ban then it must be serious, right?.....of course not, for over the next month they did the exact opposite, and literally attacked Trump…here is a quick list of this (see attached full time line):
• is immediately attacked for travel ban by an epidemiologist, WHO, Vox, Canada health minister, and Joe Biden
• From Febuary 2nd to February 28th all these people said corona virus was no problem: CNN, Barbot (NYC Hlth Cmsnr), WHO Tedros, Barbot again, Levine (NYC cncl hlth cmmte), Biden advisor, nyc mayor’s office & DeBlasio, Fauci, Pelosi
• On March 4th Barbot again minimizes risk, CNN has Cooper & Dr. Gupta downplay the corona virus saying the flu is worse
• On March 9th Bernie Sanders claims Trump Xenophobia
So in February you have the WHO, CDC, Fauci, politicians, doctors, etc…..downplaying the corona virus and attacking Trump for the travel ban….and are now crying that he should have done more….if Trump had done more they would have started a second impeachment for his ‘draconian measures’…..so Trump worked with everyone to get stuff done with out going into full panic mode
