I'm not Cuomo but theoretically 

1. The initial death estimates scared the crap out of everyone

2. NY is particularly densely populated 

3. There was a fear of hospitals overflowing 

4. These were supposed to be stable recovering patients brought to cordoned off areas of nursing homes... maybe overly optimistic ideas about it being able to be done safely.

5. Apparently 80% of the nursing homes which Cuomo sent patients to already had staff and residents testing positive.



But basically I would say fear.

Hospitals overflowing? Trump sent the USSNS Comfort to New York and had the Javits Center in New York set up as a hospital, among other places. Both were barely used. It's fishy.

Both the nursing homes directive and Trump sending the USSNS Comfort ship happened near the end of March... It seems to me their fear of hospitals being overwhelmed was justified at the time.



Bigger picture- look at statistics which were coming in at the time. NY went from having 29 new cases per day to having more than 5,000 new cases per day.. within a time period of 2 weeks. Data like this would cause any sane person to sh*t their pants.

yes the ship was much larger than what ended up being needed... but there wasn't really any way to predict exactly how many people would become infected.



I don't think it's fishy at all. I would say it's unfortunate that getting that massive ship to help NY probably cost a ton of $$ more than hospitals would have and sending em to nursing homes obviously ended tragically but ya idk... I'm just not seeing the  conspiracy here.

So... Cuomo sent recovering covid patients to nursing homes to intentionally yet indiscriminately kill elderly people (both Dem and Repub) because..... what ..... ~10% more of them happen to be Repub?? I mean that alone on it's face seems pretty crazy...



but also we're talking about New York... Trump only got 37% of the vote there in 2016. Not exactly a swing state. 



So anyways.. ya it sounds like it'd be a cool conspiracy... but it doesn't exactly pass the smell test for me.

I know it is totally a conspiracy, but why would he even do such a thing? We knew from the beginning it affected the elderly the most. Something is fishy though.
