Yes. It's not only an ideology or idk the word but it's also a political party.

But when I said libertarian it meant(while I do actually support the party) I meant the spectrum. Libertarian and authoritarian are like the right and left, but it's up and down. Like i m a leaning right libertarian. Does that make any sense lol

For the most part I do too. I'm pretty blessed actually growing up in a household with a mix of opinions so I know all the sides and am pretty in the middle.

my mom grew up hearing "republicans care 4 the rich democrats care 4 the poor" & that republicans were conspiring against america. when she asked how ppl could prove it she got vague answers & "it's true b/c it's true" (which i'm about 2 roast someone 4 doing 2 me actually). then she looked at both the foundational ideas of both parties, & decided she lined up more w/ conservative.
when i looked at both sides, i happened 2 be studying communism, & when i first heard about what democrats believed, i thought, "dang, that just sounds like communism." (I had nvr heard anyone say that b4 btw.)

Yeah...my dad is libertarian, mom is republican , my older sister is a democrat. What u just described is what I hear happen alot, like it's true cuz it's true. They don't even know why they believe that.

Libertarianism is when you believe everything should be allowed as long as it doesn't interfere with other peoples ability to do what they want.
So doing drugs yourself is fine but rape is outlawed because you are affecting someone else.
We believe in minimal government.
I'm a libertarian constitutionalist because I believe a constitutional government is the best way to achieve Libertarianism.
Unfortunately we don't have that here in the US.

It’s not just TV it’s the print media as well. Very few have any integrity at all anymore. They will print lies knowing they will just print a retraction if someone complains. Yeah but the thing is that if you do your own research and don't come up with left-leaning ideals the left will accuse you of being a Fox consumer or a Putin supporter (though this one only started AFTER the Ukraine incident). I have lost count of how many times I've been called both, and I don't even watch Fox News and certainly have nothing to do with Putin. I think Fox is more objective than CNN, bc while I've seen Fox not be entirely fair about statistics before, I haven't seen them blatantly lie exactly like CNN or MSNBC have. And Fox is owned by leftists now so it may not be right wing forever.
Megyn Kelly left pissed off at Fox bc she thought they were too biased and didn't care about facts, and went to work for CNN, and later left there saying Fox was the least of our problems bc CNN would instruct her to literally change actual events while reporting them. CNN has been caught editing photos to make killers look white so they can call them white supremacists, and they tried to cover up the fact that one racist white killer last year was a communist bc it goes against their "all white racists are right-wing Nazis" narrative.

And lastly, while Fox does not defend Nazism, CNN is very Marx-friendly. and that's where I think the barrier breaks apart. CNN is just far more extremist.

I'm just so tired of news in general so I haven't watched CNN in years. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest though. I'm hoping things will change but u have a bad feeling things will get very violent before it happens though. And I get worse than called leftist, they tell me women won't have the right to vote or own land long so I don't matter. I'm like we outnumber you assholes lol. From what I see, it's usually the other way around. Republicans will bitch and moan about fake news and then turn around and voraciously consume fox, breitbart, random-ass facebook posts (you have no idea how many times I've seen a meme with a facebook post that turned out to be utter BS), etc.

Idk if you've seen many Democrats these days, but yes, they're very pissed that Republicans even exist now. I have family members that are hateful to ppl like me for not agreeing with me. You should really see this generation on social media. The stuff they call for Republicans is sickening.

I never have said anything about "forcing" people, that's the leftist method. I try to convince people using logic and really don't get angry at ppl about it unless they insult me (or in the politicsTOO stream's case, ban me for BS reasons). Back in the day Democrat meant liberal, and while I have problems with liberalism, it was still very pro-America, pro-freedom, and not communist.
