The answer is no one alive is responsible for slavery. It’s been over with for 155 years. It is a ploy to encourage white guilt and extort reparations. The debt of slavery has been paid, over 380,000 white men paid the blood price. Equality under the law has been attained. Prejudice still exists and anti white rhetoric does nothing to address it.

History gave us slavery. The history of man is a story of barbarism punctuated by short bursts of enlightenment. At some point all races have been slaves. The current narrative is to silence the white voice to allow destruction of the country. It does not seek equality it seeks revolution.

I agree, but to the crux of the op, I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of supporting reparations when most have no connection through blood or benefit. Sourpuss is trying to say there's no proof because there is no paper trail of her ancestry, just her dad's claims of his grandparents. Funny, either have to call kamala or get dad a liar.

Considering slavery of Africans wasn’t limited to the US or even the Americas. Many many countries participated in slavery throughout time and even during the transatlantic slave trade! So to act like because you aren’t from the US your people must be innocent! Your people may have been “less abusive” but guarantee more than likely your country participated at some point in some way

It wasn’t even limited to Africans. Every race has been enslaved. Usually by their own people but sometimes by others. No people living are guilty of slavery. At least outside of Asia and the Middle East where it is still practiced to this day. The word slave came from Slavs. Who the Islamic caliphates took by hundreds of thousands as slaves. If you feel guilty that’s your baggage. Why don’t you go and confess to a murder you didn’t commit at the local
Police station.

I never owned a slave so I owe Jack crap to anyone over historical abuse, especially no one who was also never a slave.
