Usually, when fishes are released, they die later from the sheer trauma they suffer from the drastic changes in pressure. How would you like it if you were dragged into the lake by a lake monster to drown for a few minutes and then got thrown back out?

Almost all the fish I catch are just slightly hooked so it’s an easy fix. Plus they get a good minow snack

Then you're still killing the minnow used as bait. And what do you mean by "slightly hooked"? What ever that means, you're still reeling in a fish who didn't consent to getting its organs traumatized, even if it's only for a few seconds. Fishes also experience time differently, so for them, a few seconds can feel like a few minutes for us.

The minow would’ve gotten eaten anyway as it’s part of a fish’s diet. Slightly hooked meaning it’s batkey hooked and and easy removal

But you'd be killing a minnow that should've been killed by a fish, and the fishes should never be handed food. It's like communism, but for the ecosystem instead of for the economy. The fishes being easy to remove has nothing to do with the trauma that they feel in their organs from the sheer pressure difference.

You don't know if it would've gotten eaten anyways, as most of them are not.
There is no such thing as "slightly hooked"
There's lots of injuries sustained, not just from the hook.
