We are in real jeopardy of socialism and not just from the left. These bailouts are just the first if Republicans continue to pursue this failed model of trickle down economics again and again.

Well we agree that trickled on economics from the Reagan era are bullshit because it never trickles down far enough as the rich are experts as avoiding yield loss. And we agree that the bailouts will bankrupt our children and grandchildren. This will likely lead to war in the future as creditor nations like China call in their markers when we are unable to cover the cost except by giving up territory. As many wars have been fought over debt as religion. If you win you don’t have to pay. The future is not guaranteed, we can intercede, but the forces arrayed against us are legion.

A participation trophy for second place doesn’t cut it

If Republicans continue to elect batshit crazy, the Democrats will succeed in bringing Socialism as reform. If the Republicans continue to mislabel moderate Democrats as radical left socialists... the Democrats will get bolder and eventually that pendulum will swing.
