In case you haven’t noticed, there’s a big difference between just begging and upvote begging.
Yes, some upvote beggars will simply ask for upvotes or will use words like, “if this meme gets 100 upvotes, blah blah blah.”
But beggars have gotten smarter these days. They’re using more subtle ways to lure people into their traps. It seems they’ve caught you pretty good by the looks of it.
More subtle ways include:
* Complaining about how you don’t get upvotes on your memes (this includes the ratio of views to upvotes, which is what this guy did.)
* Using a picture to describe how many upvotes you have (often a small amount)
* Complaining about how many points you have
* Wanting to see how many people are on imgflip
* Using words like, “this will never get 100 upvotes.”
* Using a tragedy to make a sad meme and say stuff like, “an upvote would be appreciated.”
And no, I don’t experience pain from not having upvotes. Because I don’t make memes for that purpose. I make memes for people to laugh at just like old times.
