first it was evidence now it's an explanation? interesting.
going off your response to octavia, again, youre conflating social democrats with marxists. they are not the same thing. as for young people becoming more receptive to socialism, this is true, but at the moment socialists are not a significant percentage of the voting bloc in any capacity to 'take over the government'. from what i can tell from these statistics (https://www.axios.com/millennials-vote-socialism-capitalism-decline-60c8a6aa-5353-45c4-9191-2de1808dc661.html) millennials are probably leaning toward social democracy rather than socialism. 50% are favourable of capitalism but 70% would vote in a 'socialist' (not a round 100%). my interpretation of this is that most millennials want progressive policies so they dont die in poverty but arent aware of the differences between social democracy and socialism.
maybe these people in congress right now actually do hold revolutionary positions, but the facts are that they have not and will not advocate for radical positions, as doing so would undermine their primary, progressive agenda. it's best to inductively reason their beliefs from what theyve actually done, rather than what you think they could maybe, possibly, hypothetically believe
