These may not be the politicians saying it now, but this is how it starts. Grass roots efforts can become legislative. If you don't believe it's already moving in that direction with defunding, you are being willfully ignorant.

Defunding the police is about diverting funding to services that have the skills and experience to deal with people that the police are not adequately supporting.

You support repeated offenders of the law being set loose repeatedly to commit more offenses. You support unarmed social justice police responding to potentially violent incidents. After all, if they will fight with police what makes you think they will just accept some social workers commands. Your representatives failure to speak out against or condemn the actions of Antifa, BLM and other hate groups is duplicitous and indirect support of their anti American activities. Services already exist they just need to be made available for police referral. You want to support them fund them but not at the expense of safety.
