Let's not put our heads in the sand... We all know that China has a bit a "different point of view" on things when it comes to spying on people. However Facebook didn't do any better, so accusations of hypocrisy do float around now.

Now many people think that TikTok is being banned due to a girl doing Trump impersonations on TikTok. Now apart from this being pathetic, and also being an attack on free speech in some way (this was just satire, nothing more), and that could be seen as a violation of the constitution, but performed in a way to get away with it. But for some reason, aren't Twitter, Facebook, and other social media (including imgflip) used to make satire about Trump, as well? I've seen many spoofs about Trump on Twitter for starters... So a ban on TikTok should (if that girl was the reason) also mean a ban on Twitter... Would only be fair, eh? As a matter of fact, I guess he'd have to ban most of the internet... And TV stations, and newspapers... This begins to smell like a dictatorship in the making.

The timing of things concerning a ban on TikTok is suspicious at best. Yes, I know China is not a country to trust that easily. I follow the news too. I've even had some Chinese friends. "Tyoy Kien" means "Goodbye" in Chinese (Cantonese to be more exact), and I am not naive enough to trust China. blindly (nor any nation for that matter). But I am really wondering if China's reputation when it comes to these things hasn't been used as a kind of excuse... a defense...

I can only speculate... I'd hate to accuse Trump of all this, but if we take into consideration how he's been trying to discredit all news channels who are criticizing him... I mean I cannot ignore that...

It sounds fishy...
