If your belief tells you to not respect others for whatever reason it's time to get a new belief.

If your opinion tells you to not respect others for whatever reason it's time to get a new opinion.

You wonder why people don't support the lgbt community? It's because of the crap you guys spit out of your mouths. When someone has a differing opinion from yours you call them homo/transphobic, racist, sexist, and accuse them of bigotry. An opinion is, "a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge." So yes, being mean or having differing beliefs from yours is an opinion, just like how what you said is an opinion. Opinions can be true and cannot be as well.

You guys really hate religions because they believe something you don't. You tell people to change their beliefs, religion, and opinions because you think yours is true and that your better than them. You also seem to not understand religion, makes sense considering your stances. So let me make some things clear:
β€’Most Religions don't hate, or tell others to hate, people. You claim, "If your belief tells you to not respect others for whatever reason it's time to get a new belief." Tell me, who isn't 'respecting' you "for whatever reason"? The Bible states that we are to be, in simple terms, nice and respectful to others. If someone is homo/transphobic, racist, and/or sexist, that's usually of their own free will. Look at me, I belive that homosexual, transgender, and other acts the lgbt community embraces are sinful, it says so in the Bible. But that doesn't mean I hate and despise gay, trans, etc people. They're still human beings and God's children, just like me and others.
β€’Religions don't just 'change' their beliefs. God's true Church isn't going to just sucumb to your opinions and change fundamental beliefs written in scripture and given to us by God. God doesn't just change his mind and go, "whelp, looks like I was wrong". He knows everything, he created us in his image, he looks at things from every angle and from a Heavenly perspective (as we all should), so telling Him, His people, and his Church to change because of your Earthly view on things won't go down so well, for you.

We want to talk to you and other members of this community, we really do. We wan't to have a nice, clean debate. But you refuse to have it with us. You call us names, you say we're wrong and that your right, while at the same time refusing to listen or even respond to our comments, critisisms, and suggestions.

I don't get your problem then. I know not all religions hate LGBTQ people and I know not every follower of a religion does. I also didn't say "religion" - I said "belief". And if your belief doesn't make you hate people who are different I have no problem with you. I still think it's weird that you believe we're all sinners if god made us all in his image but everyone is entitled to whatever they want to believe as long as it doesn't lead them to discrimination and hate.

All I am saying is that there are people on this earth who believe some humans are worth less than others and use that belief to justify hating them, attacking them, enslaving them, killing them. Now some do use their religion for justification but not all do. The Nazis simply thought the Arian race was the best human race and should make all others work for them, the Jews were stealing their jobs and money and should pay for that, people with mental illnesses were more trouble than they're worth, and gay and lesbian people simply didn't due their duty for the fatherland. Some of them argued those things with the bible but it was not in itself a Christian belief. But I certainly think anyone who believes in any of these principles should change what they believe in.

And that doesn't mean that a religion is going to change their religious texts - although a lot of things could really use an update. I mean if your belief makes you transphopic, racist, homophobic, sexist or discriminate against any group of people it is time to stop believing that. Just take the amount of different Christian churches... They all use the same text base but some of them say the bible tells them to kill all the gay people, some just exclude them from their service because they are sinners, some let them in because we're all god's children, some even marry gay couples in their church - all that in the name of the same god with the same bible in front of them. So, don't tell me there is no way to respect every person regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, sex or whatever other reason while still believing in their god.

This is not a discussion about religion. We might do that another day, but not here. This is a discussion about the most basic human right of being accepted just the way they are. And if you can't do that because of something you believe in that needs to change.

Well, that's the main reason I don't post there... I admire the few of you who continue to try to talk to them. But I just don't have the energy to fight an, in my eyes, lost cause anymore. I'd rather focus on those who already make at least some form of step into the right direction and come to streams like this one to talk to us.

No one should give a megaf**k about what race you are, if you're trans, homo, or gender preference cause we're all humans, like it or not
