I grew up in the country where police don't have much to occupy themselves except sit in the bushes in their patrol cars to catch people going 40 on a 35 zone. So a couple months after getting my license I was pulled over by a nice cop who issued me a warning. I don't think I told my parents for at least a week and I just told my mom because I knew Dad would flip. Oh, another time I spilled my hot coffee on my lap and rear ended a guy in his pickup. Turned out to be a cop on his way to work but he was more concerned about me getting burned than the ding on his bumper. I've never had serious run ins with cops, they've only been pleasant to me. I find if you're polite to them they most often than not are polite back.

I guess run-in's are almost unavoidable when your job is to drive...you're right, that last one was a lucky break for sure.

Most places don't allow speeds over 80!

My brother was driving when the cops pulled us over for an expired tag.they gave us a warning probably due to no criminal records and the tag was like a day or 2 off

I've been pulled over for smoking pot in the car...that was back in high school....also got pulled over for going 100mph in a 55mph zone and passing in a no passing zone....also back in high school....lesson the day: high schoolers think they are smart, but they do the dumbest shit out of all age demographics....no offense to people on here that are of that age demographic, it's just the truth. Since then, I have been pulled over a couple more times, once for speeding and only got a warning....once for expired tags, also just a warning...

When I was a teen I made a wrong turn once and got pulled over. The police lady was pretty scary sounding (at least to my ears). But she only gave me a warning. It was a wild day; I was scared all the way driving home, worried about what my parents would say. But when I got home they were gone. About twenty minutes later they arrived back from their shopping. My dad was all disgusted with himself, as he'd got pulled over while they were out and had received a speeding ticket. When I told him about my warning he laughed and said it couldn't have happened on a better day for me, lol!

3 times in a 1 1/4 years of driving. First time was only my permit so my mom was in the car and she told me afterward that she didn't think I was at fault (I agree with her). Second time my registration was expired (which I didn't know). Both those I got off with just a warning.

Third time was less than a week ago. I almost collided with a cop, who then proceeded to pull me over. There's more to it and I won't explain it all but I've called the court and they're going to send me a date because I know I was in the right lawfully and I have a witness and the cop's own word to prove it.

All three times I was polite and all and cooperative so that probably helped the first two times. I love the police, they just scare me a little on the road (I'm a good diver, I just have bad luck XD).

The dumbest thing I ever did to get pulled over:
In high school, some friends and I got several of those
squeeze bottles of sauce from Arby's and drove around town
terrorizing hapless bystanders. We went through a taco bell
drive thru and doused the kids working at the window. I think
the car behind us thought we were robbing the place, because
when the cops pulled us over they had their guns drawn and
everything. XD

The easier question would be, "What HAVEN'T I been pulled over for?" Which is to imply that I've lost count. But it comes with the territory when you're considered "non white" (though my birth certificate says I am) what with racial profiling and all. I've only gotten two tickets, though, and both for expired tags. And I've been arrested twice.

The most recent pull over was just last week. And a funny one at that, you see, I accidentally hit a silent alarm when I adjusted my seat belt on the bus I was driving. Two city police patrol units rolled up behind me with their lights on so I pulled over. They told me they were checking on my well being. When they saw all things were good, they got on with their day.

You don't need to know everything.

Never been pulled over
First of all, I’m almost 13
Second of all, my town is so safe that we barley need police

I've been pulled 3 times. First when I was 17 years old and got ticketed for doing 47 in a 35, or something like that. I was running late for school, had a head cold and had taken some meds that didn't agree with me so I felt like a freight train. I was lucky they didn't write me up for worse. Second time was for doing 70 or so in a 55, midnight on the interstate. The lady let me off with a warning because I was only a mile or so from my apartment and didn't seem like a troublemaker. Third time was also around midnight/1am, I pushed the reasonable boundary when going through a light that had just turned yellow. My fiance and her puppy were riding shotgun and I was taking her home after working in our new house preparing to move in before our upcoming wedding. Again, got off with a warning because I owned up to blowing through the light and didn't seem to be causing any trouble. I think they were really just trying to catch DUI's that night.

Oh I did get checked for window tint at a traffic stop once, cop was being a jerk in a town where the cops were known to be jerks. He was a pompous ass, wrote me a ticket that he said he would tear up if I got the tint fixed prior to court, which I did and he still charged a fine.

Most of my interactions with police have been fine, and the police that I know personally are all stand up people. I respect them and what they do.
