He distanced himself from Epstein long before the 'woke' media stopped covering for Epstein and his powerful friends, whom the media are all in bed with. I covered this some time ago (

The bottom line? ABC news, for one, buried the Epstein story, long after Trump had already sized Epstein up as a perv, and barred him from Mar-a-Lago and stopped any association with him. Of course he knew Maxwell, and like most people with decency and compassion, wouldn't want to see her end up getting herself "suicided" while in jail. I think that's enough of an explanation for what he said about her as anyone who hasn't had their opinion of Trump destroyed by what the media tells them to believe should need.
Yes, I get it that Trump says things in press conferences that are vague, not on point, and easily twisted by those with an agenda. There's just no meat to the story, but I know that won't stop people like you, and the dimwits in the media with a 24/7 anti-Trump agenda from running with it. So, enjoy.

Q And my follow-up — my second question; it’s a little bit different topic, but it’s one that a lot of people are talking about. Ghislaine Maxwell is in prison, and so a lot of people want to know if she’s going to turn in powerful people. And I know you’ve talked in the past about Prince Andrew, and you’ve criticized Bill Clinton’s behavior. I’m wondering, do you feel that she’s going to turn in powerful men? How do you see that working out?
THE PRESIDENT: I don’t know. I haven’t really been following it too much. I just wish her well, frankly. I’ve met her numerous times over the years, especially since I lived in Palm Beach and I guess they lived in Palm Beach. But I wish her well, whatever it is. I don’t know the situation with Prince Andrew. I just don’t know. I’m not aware of it.
