Even if one wanted to 'go there' and have a hypothetical discussion by agreeing that hate speech exists, it's protected according to the Constitution.

It has to be, otherwise what we're seeing now, with 'unacceptable' speech being censored on the pretense of it being hate speech, will become the standard, not the exception.

The founders must be rolling over in their graves at what is happening now in the media and our culture when it comes to the first amendment.

I don't know if it's accurate or not, but I heard on the radio this morning that John Muir is the latest cultural icon to be targeted for cancellation. I don't know too much about him, but I thought he was considered an OG of environmentalism, which of course is a woke / lefty/ snowflake party plank. I'm not sure what he did. Maybe destroyed a native culture or two, but that's just speculation.

I soundly reject the notion that words commonly used in language and culture can be appropriated as SJW buzzwords. If it walks like a duck, talks like... well you know the rest.

Vagabond Douché, while a fairly dim bulb on the whole, probably does have enough gray matter to realize that posting comments with the same tone and substance under different login handles would be too obvious. I've got to give him credit for at least that much. He was up to four accounts as of yesterday, but with this one being deleted (can't remember which one this was, but I suspect it was "o_0") he's possibly back down to three.

I can defend my own comments. While, as Kylie points out, those are often SJW buzzwords, they still (last time I checked) have their own independent meanings in the English language.

So there's that. Also, I recognize that the SJW crowd has done their best to appropriate them. I admit to receiving some level of pleasure in throwing those words back in their faces. But also, I use them because when it gets right down to it, I am an optimist, and I believe there is a tiny, tiny chance that when those idiots read those words, it just might make them realize how stupid they were to use them in those pathetic memes.
