Still supporting Trump, then? Ever heard of the phrase, "flogging a dead horse"?

Supporting the presumptive nominee of the republican party, who is a sitting president, cannot be considered flogging a dead horse by any rational person.

On the other hand, childish memes that have no factual basis, and serve no purpose other than juvenile name calling have been beaten to death.

"No factual basis"? That'll be like so many of his ludicrous claims and undignified tweets, then.

Okay, looks like I'm going to have to dumb it down for you, and get you back on point. Strap in and pay attention, okay, because we don't want to have to cover this again.

By 'no factual basis' I mean that you have provided no facts to support your meme, which I've characterized as childish.

Unless of course, you can provide a citation to show that Trump said 'rubbish' in response to a statement about scientists saying glyphosate causes cancer. Go ahead, pull that up. I'll wait.

OR, if you would kindly provide a citation to show that Trump said windmills cause cancer... Coming up with that citation would provide some 'factual basis'. I'll wait for that too.

But, since you won't be able to, I'll stick with what I said, which implied that you are not a rational person, and that your meme is childish.

"The Trump administration is refusing to approve product labels warning glyphosate — the active ingredient in Roundup — is a carcinogen." [Markets.businessinsider.com] August 12th 2019

"Rubbish", therefore, is an apt summation of his attitude.

“If you have a windmill anywhere near your house, congratulations, your house just went down 75 percent in value. And they say the noise causes cancer,” the president said while delivering remarks at the National Republican Congressional Committee's annual spring dinner. He offered no evidence to support the claim. April 3rd 2019. Youtube. Watch, listen and weep.

Next.

I'm not saying I don't think glyphosate causes cancer, because the evidence to date strongly indicates that it likely does. But, I think you're overly excited and have lost control, and probably suffering from premature Trump-bashination here, since it hasn't yet been proven. Science is funny that way... it's a process of seeking the truth, not jumping to conclusions based on what seems like sufficient evidence to the lay person.

Ahhh, do you have a job in the media? Because you're guilty here of doing exactly what they do, which is take something he said, twist it into something you think people will deem to be evidence of him being a whack job, and then trying to tell people that's what to think. If noise causes cancer, and windmills cause noise, then it's noise that causes cancer. I think you need some basic instruction in logic.

If you reply, I won't until at least tomorrow. I'm out for today.

You ask for citations saying that I won't be able to find them. I provide them for you. You then complain about the content of the citations, which misses the point completely.

Trump doesn't follow science - "I know more about [insert here any subject you care to mention] than anybody." He says what he wants to. He says what he thinks people want to hear. He walks away from difficult questions. He derides anything that doesn't coincide with his current agenda as "fake news" - as indeed you start to do by pronouncing me "guilty". After all, it's much easier to rubbish and walk away than it is actually to engage with possibly unpalatable truth, isn't it?

It's really sort of sad that you're of the mindset that taking what Trump says and twisting it into text that you think proves your point, is considered a citation.

With the bar set that low, we may as well all make up shit, just like the media does. Hey, here's one that fits nicely into that ultra low standard... hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

And by the way, in addition to a course on logic, you should probably look into causal relationships when it comes to that windmill garbage you posted.

I don't care about the "science" argument, because that's nothing but misdirection bullshit from the left. When they say we must follow the science, what they're saying is, you must do what we, the Democrats tell you to do, or you're going to be cancelled.

Science is a lot of things, but what it isn't, is a political party, deciding on a single course of action for a particular issue, that btw, is absolutely not supported by science, and which is intended to do nothing more than harm the country so that it will vote the sitting president out of office.

After reading your posts, I looked at your meme again. I have to say that it's striking to me that someone who writes as well as you do, could make a meme that looks like it came from a 4th grader.

On the contrary, you're of the mindset that takes everything that Trump says as Gospel truth. The citations I provided, with sources, are what they are: anyone with intelligence can discern their meaning quite easily without any need to "twist".

'I don't care about the "science" argument, because that's nothing but misdirection bullshit from the left.' Pure Trumpery. He'd be proud of you. Are you anti-vaccination as well?

And thanks for the compliment about the 4th grade - I did try to pitch it at your level, but obviously I'm still aiming too high . . .

Now you're just putting your utter ignorance on display if you believe I'm of the mindset that everything Trump says is gospel. Of course I support him as my president, and as a candidate for the next president's term. But only someone with limited ability to comprehend what's going on here on the flip would interpret that support the way you have.

Consider this, oh limited thinker, why would someone like me, who if you knew me, would know that my entire life I question everything, all the time (because I believe a path to knowledge is skepticism) post what it apparently would take for you to have a view other than what you've stated? What would be in it for me to post an anti-Trump meme?

And you know damn well you took what Trump said and twisted it into a grade school meme. Idiotic denials don't change facts. Facts... now those are things your side trades in infrequently.

You don't care about the science argument, because you know I've pointed out the complete hypocrisy of the left when it comes to using their silly little phrase, "we must follow the science." You and your leaders clearly wouldn't know science if it bit you in your asses.
