So really what we are arguing about is what level of anonymity is acceptable or unacceptable. If anyone were to trace your meme back to your account, would they know any more about you than they do an anonymous poster? Maybe what your politics are, but they wouldn't know anything about you really. So who gives a damn if you can identify someone's fake name and fake identity by a name on a meme. The meme is the important thing, not who made it. Maybe whoever made it doesn't care if people know his/her fake identity. Maybe whoever made it doesn't care if he/she is part of the meme community. Maybe he/she is an introvert and has crippling anxiety and this is the only way they can communicate. Maybe he/she is living in an abusive situation and anonymity is the only way he/she can get the message out. Because you don't know anything about someone who makes a choice to stay anonymous doesn't give you the right to anonymity shame them. Someone posting under a username is typically open to debate, someone posting anonymously is typically making a statement then running away.
