No, cancel culture is way different, authoritarian and nasty. I don't quite understand the reason for boycotting Goya, as they donate alot to charity and I thought the left supported minority ran companies but who am I to tell people what they should buy?

I didn't comment because I agree with what Bob has said. I don't agree with you that cancel is authoritarian and nasty though, the entire point is to de-platform people with harmful views and limit their public reach. It's social ostracization, it's as old as humanity.

First of all, a boycott is not "cancel culture." It's a form of free speech and consumer choice/free market in action. If a CEO makes their political decisions public, don't expect there to be no public reaction to it. Second of all, I don't see you condemning the NFL boycotts because under your definition, it's also cancel culture.
