From what I've seen, it appears to be the same, maybe slightly worse.
The problem is there is so much conflicting information, and the integrity of the media
& government institutions compromised to such a degree that a person doesn't know
what to believe, even when it's coming straight from the mouth of the perceived
"authorities".
Even if the virus is much worse than the flu, I am against enforcing restrictions on the
unaffected population at large. If I thought the virus was as deadly as some say, I would
take precautions, considering those who are more vulnerable, but I should not be
forced to do so in any case.
I still don't know anyone who has caught the virus, and only about half the people I see
in the stores where I'm from are wearing masks, maybe less than half.
If I see someone wearing a mask, especially if they are elderly,
I make an effort to stay away from them. I'm not trying to be difficult or vindictive, I
just believe that we are giving away our rights at an alarming rate because there is this
idea growing that letting the government control certain aspects of our lives for the
sake of "safety" is more important than freedom. I strongly disagree.
