The dark blue sections gets on my nerves most, because I pretty much every time I see one, it's on the front page or on its way down with 600 upvotes. Like, what type of person sees that and thinks "this is clever, I should upvote"?

Yeah, you see that a lot now. I dont know what goes through people's head when they upvote that stuff.
I think it's just human nature to prove people wrong in such ways. I imagine they think something like, "oh, this person doesn't expect to get more than two upvotes? Well swing swong, they are wrong!"
Given that the term "upvote begging" is commonly shone in negative light, I feel like it wouldn't be those sort of people upvoting. I think people are just trying to be "friendly" by upvoting anything that catches their eye, or just makes sense by chance.
What about comments on popular memes about how you don't get enough upvotes and you could just pull out of the "Good memes from unpopular user" section so you can make memes about Tik Tok too?!
