Communism doesn't work in our current society. And it likely won't for centuries. The only way for it to have a chance of working for a long time without abusing civil rights is with post-scarcity and advanced robotics. And even then a mixed economy would work far better. For now, democratic, capitalist countries and republics have the right idea, and will, likely forever.
