The US was not built on the backs of your slave ancestors. And I’m pretty sure your German parents or grandparents were not stuffed away in some projects somewhere and repeatedly denied access to all the opportunities their lighter-skinned counterparts were because most likely your relatives could blend in with the host culture.
In the 1800’s our forefathers passed around 100 slavery laws, one of which said if a female slave bore a child whose father was a slave owner guess what that child would be considered... Anyone?? A SLAVE. Were your forefathers born into legally bound slavery? I mean how could they do this to another human being? Babies were growing up being told they were second class citizens, lower life forms.
Generation after generation of slavery then generation after generation of oppression. There are people still alive today who were around for the freedom rider bus, Medgar Evers bombing, the lynchings. The 16th street Baptist church bombing that killed four little girls was just in 1963. Speaking of which, there have been a few African-Americans found hanging around the country recently. The timing is questionable.
