Actually, your point is well-taken...
It's related to a tendency to revert to what I call the 'High-School Football Game Mentality', in which 'fans' in the stands, on BOTH sides, will support their own school's team no matter what....
For example: any bad call against the opposing team, becomes a good call -- but a good call against their own team is a bad call.. and so on.
* The important aspect is that this usually devolves to the point of the most primative gainsaying and naysaying...
A hackneyed example in memes and internet posting is the now seemingly obligatory 'clown-ification' of a person's photo (I'm assuming there is a little program, app, or plugin, that makes these a button click away)....
* Moreover, EVERYONE falls to some hypocritical action, thought, or words at some time -- everyone -- whether it's a slip or intentional and sly....
** What we are seeing with this ridiculous and malicious 'cancel-culture', and automatic accusations of 'racist' and 'racism', is the masses being manipulated NOT to rationalize, but to simply tear-down, burn, mutilate without any intellectual thought... This is NOT good, and very dangerous, not only to the U.S., but to HUMANITY.
