The law... They need to make sure you are not underage, and if you are that you have your parent's permission. Below 13 most laws forbid this anyway, and depending on your home country a site may be obligated to reject users younger than 16 or 18, unless you have your parent's permission.

Nothing suspicious about it.... Game sites (any site for that matter) is subjected to the law.
