Really? The phenomenon "dumb blonde" actually predates the internet, and these templates were clearly a pun on those from the start. And they do belong to the group of most used templates here on imgflip. You can hardly have missed that.

Like I said, predates the internet, after all computers were invented near the end of WWII so around 1944 and 1945. So if that statement is true (I didn't check) it even predates WWII completely.

Hey thanks.... Interesting read. I came across this article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosalie_Duth%C3%A9 about a woman who lived from 1748 till 1830 who is said to be the "first official dumb blonde", although it's not really clear if the term was used for her when she was still alive. Dang this dates back further than I thought...
