I think you mean...

OMG, Obama was elected via the electral college!!! Shock!!! /end sarcasm

Or

OMG, Obama was NOT elected via the electral college!!! /end sarcasm

You can sarcastically state a fact in shock or just sarcastically deny a fact. You can't sarcastically deny a fact and then shocked by it.

Well, I mean you can but it doesn't really make much sense even in terms of mockery.

Your argument that this meme is illogical is rather incomplete. Yes, I'm aware what the electoral college is. If you think I have made a mistake, then feel free to expand on that idea. Many parts of our government are in the constitution, including the establishment of the federal government. Which many Trump Supporters repeatedly say that we shouldn't trust.

So, just because something is in the constitution doesn't mean it's incorruptible. In fact, there were far less states than we have now when it was established. It has since become quite bloated and been altered since then. I am not strictly for removing it, but if people want their individual vote to count, it seems more logical to remove something like that. And considering many democratic countries do not have such safeguards proves it is entirely doable and not without reason to remove.

But perhaps Americans enjoy limitations on their right to choose a President of the United States.

Even if they only trust it when it successfully elects a President from their preferred party of choice.

Obviously you DON'T understand the electoral college the electoral college is NOT federal it is the individual states meeting to decide the election. It is not bloated nor is it a bureaucracy it meets once every four years how is that "Bloated" It was designed for several purposes #1 so that a few large states don't overwhelm the smaller states in voting # 2 it is actual designed to PREVENT corruption of the presidential election by given each state a say in how the president is elected. and #3 Our constitution was never set up to be a democracy we are supposed to be a federal republic with each state having its own powers.
as far as the popular vote nation wide that ACTUALLY REDUCES your voice as an individual when you vote for electors your vote on average is one in roughly 1 in 600,000 (more in some states a lot less in others) in a popular vote your vote is 1 in 100 million reducing you vote equity dramatically.

I never said the electoral college was federal. I merely established that just because something is constitutionally implemented doesn't make it immune to corruption.

Right now, what we have in most states is a winner take all motion. Oversimplifying the estimated count to a electoral number of votes. I'm not entirely convinced that this was specifically to prevent a larger states from overwhelming the smaller states. If our individual vote counted nationwide, instead of being stuffed into an electoral vote, it wouldn't matter what the majority of states voted, but what the majority of individuals voted.

However, I do admire your addition of ratios. What it fails to take into account is that your vote only counts in the 1 in 2 million if you're among the majority of that state and does not if you're in the minority. With a national popular vote, your vote counts even if it is just 1 in 100 million.
