The case against Trump.

1. ON A PERSONAL LEVEL, HE'S AN EGOTIST. and not the run-of-the-mill egoism you'd expect from any politician, but something else entirely. 2. His Twitter feed is off-the-wall and frequently an outlet for persecuting political enemies and peddling disinformation. He was recently flagged by Twitter for the looting/shooting comment that was straight out of the mouth of a racist Miami sheriff from the late-60's. Good for Twitter.*; (*AND WHAT DID TRUMP DO IN RESPONSE? HE IMMEDIATELY SIGNED EXECUTIVE ORDERS THREATENING SOCIAL MEDIA COMPANIES.); 3. Trump has reshaped the GOP in his image in a short time. It's a very different Party than it was even five years ago, when its priorities were relatively wonkish: Obamacare repeal, entitlement reform, deficit reduction. The "Party of Paul Ryan," basically. Now it's the Party of "Build That Wall" and "Lock Her Up." And its rhyming variants: Lock Up The Bidens, Lock Up Obama, etc. It's a revolving cast of characters based on the needs of the day. None of it supported by anything substantial. 4. Bypassing the institutional knowledge of the Republican Party, Trump chooses instead to staff family members and compliant loyalists who owe their political fortunes to him wherever possible. 5. Trump fires whistleblowers and is applauded. 6. The "adults in the room" keep leaving the building, whether by exiting the Trump Administration or the GOP as a whole; only a few patriotic "Never Trumpers" remain. Some are getting more outspoken in their criticism (Mattis, Powell). Romney is marching with BLM. Good for them. 7. Beginning with his 2016 campaign's contacts with Russians, through Trump's unsupported claim on Twitter in Nov. 2016 that millions of illegal ballots were cast for his opponent, THROUGH THE UKRAINEGATE CONDUCT AND ZELENSKY CALL THAT RIGHTFULLY RESULTED IN HIS IMPEACHMENT, AND ENDING MOST RECENTLY WITH HIS DISPARAGEMENT OF MAIL-IN BALLOTS, TRUMP HAS CONTINUALLY SOUGHT TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMACY OF OUR ELECTIONS. 8. There's a near-total inability of Trump himself and his supporters to entertain any criticism of him. ANY CRITICAL HEADLINES AND EVEN ENTIRE NEWS ORGANIZATIONS ARE DISMISSED OUT OF HAND AS "FAKE" OUTLETS WITH NO AGENDA BUT TO BRING HIM DOWN. 9. Trump's just not a likeable person. 10. AND OH, DID I MENTION? HE'S A RACIST BIGOT.
