Who would know more about the Confederate flag & what it signifies?

Like repeating history isn't exactly what he wants.

He never really explained which aspects of our history he liked and which he would discard

But it's since become pretty clear

@KylieFan_89 I've encountered enough intellectual dishonesty and laziness on imgflip to feel a need to commend you for being upstanding. It's not about agreeing or disagreeing with your points but that you pose penetrating questions, engage in discourse and when possible provide evidence for your claims. If only more would listen, learn and keep things civil no matter how much they may disagree. Anyway thank you for being one of the "good ones".

I appreciate every comment and upvote I receive, but a message like this just bowls me over. It is good to know someone else "gets it" and my efforts are having an impact.

My involvement here on ImgFlip has deepened my understanding of politics and of the challenges we face as a country.

I tried to leave ImgFlip a couple weeks ago for personal reasons but found I just couldn't. There's just too much going on, too much to discuss, too much evil in the world and in people's hearts.

Sometimes I feel like stepping away. But today is not that day.

That dumpster fire of a thread is the nail in the coffin of everything I was talking about, really. Thanks for showing your support.

But there are shoots of positivity in it as well. If you block VagabondSouffle, the thread starts to look somewhat normal.

I hate to leave ImgFlip when there is still so much work left to be done, and the world so insane.

But if I have inspired and touched even one person, I can hang my hat with pride.
