When you are the first to answer a Think_Tank question. | i got this one, guys | image tagged in fallout hold up,question, criminals, justice, law, constitution | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
I don't immediately recognize all of these faces, honestly. I'll just answer generally.

Criminal suspects are entitled to due process of law and humane treatment at all stages of the criminal justice process (from initial apprehension by law enforcement, tthrough jailing, plea bargaining, trial, and post-conviction) under the 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 14th Amendments of the U.S. Constitution, as well as other state and federal laws.

Tl:dr: Being arrested under suspicion of passing counterfeit money (George Floyd's scenario) is not and should not be an immediate death sentence.

No one deserves a death sentence without due process, and death sentence even with due process is (and has been on this site) highly debatable. I think the question is implying by the way it is presented that these (very unfortunate and highly mishandled) incidents were not acts of police brutality on innocent civilians nor were they random attacks. I think the question seeks to provoke those that read this to consider, did the victims do something wrong to cause the police to arrest them.

What about kneecop? Does he also have the right to be innocent until proven guilty?

He deserves a fair trial, of course, but as politically engaged citizens who aren’t presiding over his case as judges or going to serve on his jury, we’re allowed to have and express our own opinions about whether what he did was murder.

Watching the video or even seeing a single photo and then walking away labeling him “innocent” just because he hasn’t had his trial yet is asinine.
