I'm still trying figure out how this incident was 'racist' if 2 of the other officers involved were non-white. And no federal hate crime charges were applied.

The black cop was on the force for 4 days and the Asian fellow was a cop for 3 weeks. I smell a huge settlement brewing.

I'd still incarcerate them (in briefer sentences) for negligence. No way in heck that's not police brutality. This couldn't even have been pulled off in Adam-12's time period!

You don't often earn my Morgan Freeman, but this is a good point.

I would hope they'd have been trained on proper arrest procedures before going on their first patrol, but if they were rookies it makes sense they didn't feel empowered to speak up, whatever their race was.

Grounds for leniency at least for them.

Because the person who ultimately killed him was white. People would probably say he had "institutional power" over the other two cops of color, anyway.

Darn it, the title got cut off. I was saying she announced another "race talk" about this and said she was "angry" about these killings. I almost unleashed my rage on her.

Do it. What can she say at this point? Extra bonus, if she's white, make her kneel in front of you and apologize for centuries of slavery. Then demand she step down for a poc to replace her ;)

Great points. I don't agree with everything you've said, but respect your views. There are certainly a lot of complicated issues here, not just "cops are evil." I don't agree with everything the Left is proposing, like defunding the police. And there is a lot of blame to go around: hateful ideas to come out of those affiliated with #BlackLivesMatter as well as the positive.

You've lived it and I haven't. So, upvote for you.

These past few days, I've been amplifying the viewpoints of black (and white, and all-color) liberals that I happen to agree with, but it is good to hear a competing perspective.

Something especially ironic: just this morning I read an article from an Economist issue from a couple weeks ago pronouncing #BlackLivesMatter to be dead, basically.

Yes, I really dont support the "AlL CoPs ArE BaD" thing or defunding the police. I can't believe Minneapolis is aiming to dismantle police force. I agree with you on this KylieFan.
