The Pandemic Party's Prerdicament

It isn't the stimulus they are disagreeing with. It's the pork.

These are the guys who invented the modern concept of "pork," during the borrow and spend frenzy of the George W. Bush adminisration. They are saying the right things to keep the faihhful, like you, in their pews. But, they know that if 25-million are still out of work due to Covid, which is highly likely, and they have done nothing, they will likely lose their jobs in November. It truly is the "Economy Stupid." They are just looking for a way to not send more true conservatives to join up with "Former Trump Voters," or "The Lincooln Project.com." The trick to winning elections is adding voters, not subtracting them. Being tightfisted now will negatively affect many mainstream traditional conservative Republicans. Being ou of a job and without cash or help for five more months will test many a loyalist's loyalty.

I agree that a lot of them are porksters. We need to take a hard look at who is voting for these pork bills and just scorched earth vote them out. Let congress know we want minimal government and only emergency measures when necessary.
That's one of my criticism of Trumps. He should have refused to sign the first stimulus bill and said something along the lines of "The first bill needs to take care of US citizens, the next bill we should tackle the small businesses, then we can talk about giving money to everyone else."
But he didn't. He put in the stuff about the president taking control of the federal reserve and signed the thing.
