Maybe analogies will help morons understand things but I doubt it.
Analogy time: Car accidents can be dangerous but why shut down roads because of this?
Instead roads are open but you should be a safe driver.
If you are too old or disabled to drive, don't drive.
Now let's implement this into this virus: This virus can be dangerous but why shut down everything because of this?
Instead, open up again and be safe about infections.
If you are an at-risk individual, stay home. Since this is not an apocalyptic zombie virus, I think this is applicable logic.
Also can use another analogy with guns: Anybody who can legally buy a gun can then go immediately kill someone with it. That doesn't mean you should stop selling guns, of course.
These people watched the movie minority report too much. You can't 100% control/prevent bad things in the future, that's not how life works.
