You're right of course.
But you cannot explain concept that to a dedicated libtard, not even in person with a whiteboard.
There are not enough dry erase markers in the world to change the mind of someone who is dedicated to evil and the deceptions of post modern liberalism.

If one dies in a hospital or at home without a mark on their body or obvious trauma, your dearh certificate will most likely indicate "COVID-19" as cause of death.
It inflates the numbers and provides the Governors and "local authorities" more incentive to restrict out freedoms.
Right now its all about power and money, not "flattening the curve" or "saving lives".
Anywho...that's my opinion, fwiw.

I really wish COVID19 had a mortality rate of say 90%, the only way it would sink in for people like you is seeing rotting corpses in the streets because when a real pandemic hits WE ARE NOT READY

Maybe analogies will help morons understand things but I doubt it.

Analogy time: Car accidents can be dangerous but why shut down roads because of this?
Instead roads are open but you should be a safe driver.
If you are too old or disabled to drive, don't drive.
Now let's implement this into this virus: This virus can be dangerous but why shut down everything because of this?
Instead, open up again and be safe about infections.
If you are an at-risk individual, stay home. Since this is not an apocalyptic zombie virus, I think this is applicable logic.

Also can use another analogy with guns: Anybody who can legally buy a gun can then go immediately kill someone with it. That doesn't mean you should stop selling guns, of course.

These people watched the movie minority report too much. You can't 100% control/prevent bad things in the future, that's not how life works.

If roads or guns caused a sharp spike in the number of people needing hospitalization, you can bet the government would put a temporary ban on them. At least until they could get a grasp on the root cause and how to stem the flow.

The decision to shut down was the right thing to do at the time. We didn’t know what else to do about it. All we knew is there wouldn’t be enough healthcare facilities to deal with it unless slowed down the spread.

Now that we have a sense of how the virus spreads and how to control it, it makes sence to open things up again. But do it slowly to prevent a spike in cases.

You can’t eliminate all risks of living: but nor is it reasonable to sit back and do nothing when lives can be saved.

—Cars are subject to safety regulations and compete with each other to offer additional safety features.

—Guns can be regulated and restricted in certain ways while complying with 2A.

—Quarantines can be imposed to limit the spread of a pandemic.

How much regulation of such things in the interests of public safety is reasonable/constitutional? That’s a tough question. Of course people can and do die from all of the above and will continue to do so.

But it’s not as simple as right vs. left. It’s about applying solid moral reasoning, making informed individual decisions as consumers, and electing competent, evidence-based governments.

It’s nicer when you have real material to work with

That’s one of those rhetorical questions, isn’t it?

I’ll just answer with this
