Your statistics do not include people testing positive but not admitted to a hospital and those who are asymptomatic. The death rates you posted are for only patients hospitalized. EVERYONE on the Diamond Princess cruise ship was tested. Half the people testing positive were asymptomatic. The population of the ship was predominately retired people, so the representative age group was mostly older.
