This meme is tongue-in-cheek. Bill Gates despite all his billions in philanthropy is not actually capable of resolving this problem through his own advocacy. The problem is far too large.
No, the battle hasn't been won. Not even close. Yet in your sarcasm, you seem to be implicitly acknowledging the underlying science once again.
Whether or not you think buying this property was a wise business decision on Gates's part -- and frankly, it probably wasn't, I suspect he just wanted to live there -- it doesn't say a thing about whether and how climate change is actually occurring.
