The death toll is only part of it, the rate of infection, and the strain it puts on hospitals is where the real problem is. The more people get sick, the fewer resources those hospitals have to treat them, meaning if people who are at risk can't get treated they are more likely to die.

Wrong! Most of the hospital's beds reserved for Covid-19 are empty. They expected 2.2 million people would die of this virus, which turned out to be horseshit.
