I think what you're saying is fair, as a general concept. Trump, like most politicians and even most presidents, makes a lot of contradictory statements.
I suggest paying more attention to what he does, rather than what he says. I know that's not easy. It take waaay more effort, and concentration. But you might find it enlightening.
Here's another proposition for you. How about applying even 1/10th the level of scrutiny to the press that you apparently apply to POTUS?
Wasn't it just last week that they were criticizing him for not issuing a presidential national shelter in place order? Now suddenly, they're saying he doesn't have that power.
