It will prevent the economy from being completely destroyed any further than it has been over a flu strain. The truth is out that this has been a colossal failure, so end the lockdowns now and let the recovery begin.

Lockdowns are helping us in the wrong run. If we all stopped being quarantined, then there would be so many cases that the hospitals would overflow. Then, there would be more deaths. But if we stay at home, LIKE YOU SHOULD, then we are reducing the number of cases and deaths.

Yep... that's the myth. The reality is that if it were handled properly, like a normal flu (except in the hot zones), we'd get herd immunity very quickly (which will prevent relapses).

Fortunately we're not 100% under lockdown, so we can go to the store, exercise, etc... and smart people are doing that vs. staying at home LIKE YOU SHOULDN'T... But it's causing more damage than it's helping clearly.

SO let's end this nonsense, get back to work, and NEVER EVER DO THIS AGAIN.

The quarantine has nothing to do with COVID19. The reaction is simply not proportional to the supposed threat. This is about ushering in an oppressive "new normal," that many will readily accept because it will seem less oppressive than the active quarantine.

It. Is. Only. For. COVID-19. Stop listening to conspiracy theories and use common sense.

Common sense tells you that when the response is a level 10 to a threat that is supposedly only only a level 3, they are lying about something. Either Covid19 is so deadly we can expect the apocalypse (a "The Stand" type situation) or that is not the reason they are locking us up. Ask yourself, do you even personally know who has it? Do you know anyone who works at a hospital (I do) and are they confirming the narrative of overwhelmed emergency rooms and lack of PPE?
Use your common sense. Does the mandated narrative match, or is it even compatible with, what yourself are observing. Are are you going to accept what the "ministry of truth" dictates in defiance of your own observations (welcome to 1984).

So basically, you're saying screw everyone with health problems or is a senior. Would you still be in the public if your had the flu? Of course not! so why would you try infecting everyone with COVID-19? You should listen to the experts, and not just yourself. By not social distancing, you could be responsible for some people dying. Sure, the right to choose what you do matters, but so does common sense.

Social distancing is fine, house arrest is not.

If you are talking about the Spanish flu, when you are saying "we handled worse flus", that was a completely different time. People didn't travel as much, so the news didn't spread as quickly. The lockdowns aren't doing anything except driving people crazy. It's just like the TSA (instead of security theater, it's health theatre). It doesn't actually make anyone safer, but makes mindless sheep feel safer. And it is now apparently more important to make dumb sheep feel safe than to ensure things can actually function.

The usual caveats are in order: The stock market doesn’t tell the full picture of the economy. But it’s how Trump’s consistently measured his own job performance, so it’s a good place to start. By that measure, things are stabilizing.

The broader picture: Millions are unemployed or furloughed, and the economic dislocation is real — beyond the ‘08 crisis for sure. We’ve never shut entire industries down like this ever before.

But the market appears to be responding well to the stimulus efforts being taken, and is betting that things will return to normal relatively soon.

Quarantining has been painful. But let’s not f**k up the progress we’ve made by reopening too quickly.
