Never understood why Hispanics name their children Jesus.

It's common for people across the world to name their kids after great persons (i.e. Muhammad, Mary, David, etc) but in this case, ... yes, I don't understand it either.

Because a name can be translated many ways and people pray in their own language. I am katherine in English, katalina in Spanish, katarzyna in polish. Similar for Jesus. It's not an insult. But Kart the Gart is pretty funny. Maybe I'll make that my screen name. Lol.

Transliteration is what you mean, but I get your point. However, it is false to use 'Jesus' and creates/created macro division amongst the Christian community. When people adopt such poor transliterations, as is in the case of 'Jesus', it serves as a key figure in refuting the translated words of the Bible. If translators can get so far away from the name of The Messiah what other mistakes and literal compromises were being made. I insist it is 1000's of errors. Yeshua should be used. There is no excuse as we know his TRUE name. Your examples are that of successful transliteration unlike what was done with the so called 'Jesus'. 2. If I were your friend, and I've asked you "How do I get saved"? What would you tell me (according to what you were taught)?

I don't really talk about God but he knows I believe and he doesn't care about it at all.

He just doesn't mind it at all he is ok with it.

OK. Baptism doesn't save you, but it is the first thing Believers do as a ceremonial, symbolic, and illustrative rite.
